The Year 8 boys football team won their semi-final match vs Jack Hunt school on Wednesday, with a final score of 2-1! That is back to back finals for the year group, having won the Peterborough Schools Football Competition last year, they are looking to repeat their success!
A close match between the two sides. Hampton Gardens took an early lead through Ayo with a strong start. Jack Hunt then equalised, and the game became nervy and a tight contest for the majority. Lucas scored the 2nd goal from a corner with minutes left to seal the 2-1 win. A special mention to Max for some excellent saves in the dying minutes and some brilliant defending form Player of the Match Logan B. An all round good performance from all.
