Welcome to Hampton Gardens School

"Hampton Gardens, a place to grow your knowledge and understanding, nurture your self-esteem and cultivate relationships"

Hampton Gardens is an inclusive secondary school, which opened in September 2017, to serve the communities of Yaxley, Cambridgeshire and Hampton, Peterborough. The school serves just under 1200 students, offering 210 places in each year group and 300 places for Post 16 students.

The school has some outstanding facilities including a 3G all-weather sports pitch, amphitheatre and an impressive Learning Resource Centre which features a full height glazed wall.

Accommodation includes light and airy classrooms, an open and bright dining hall, dance and drama studios, a large Sixth Form Centre at the top of the building with views across the site and a range of well equipped science laboratories including a specialist 'show lab'.

As part of the Hampton Academies Educational Trust, we passionately believe that all children deserve the opportunity to succeed, whatever their start in life or personal circumstances.

We are a school at the heart of the community: a place where children walk to school together and where friendships, between students and between parents, grow stronger as a result of daily contact in and outside of the classroom.

We teach our students to be inquisitive, creative, confident and caring. They will be happy in themselves, excited about their future and ambitious for success. They leave us fully able to participate in our democratic society and prepared to meet the challenges and to harvest the opportunities of life in the 21st century. We expect a lot of our students and we expect them to commit to developing their individual aptitudes.

We believe in developing the whole individual at Hampton Gardens and provide an Experience Curriculum to help support this. Students are able to experience a wide range of activities, clubs and societies. These opportunities provide students with key life skills and develop areas of interest which can support shaping their future experiences and careers.

Finally, we expect students to contribute actively and generously to their community, through volunteering programmes, peer support and exemplary personal conduct.

In return, we will work tirelessly to provide students with the support and encouragement needed in order to achieve their goals.

I am immensely proud and honoured to be the Head of School at Hampton Gardens.

Kevin Ainslie
