Admissions

In order for every student to achieve in our Sixth Form, selecting the right courses in Year 12 is absolutely crucial. Prior to joining us in September every student has a personal consultation in order to assist them in choosing the most appropriate courses for them.

The school offers three academic pathways and to be permitted to follow these pathways those applicants offered places will be required to have met the following minimum academic standards:-

  • For a Vocational pathway: students who achieved at least five GCSE or equivalent passes (4-9), but who did not get at least a 4 in either English, Maths or both.
  • For an A level pathway students who have achieved at least five GCSE or equivalent passes (4-9) including English and Maths.

Whichever pathway a student is following, most decide to focus on three courses through Year 12 and 13. We also require students to have a good E grade at the end of Year 12 in each of their subjects in order to continue their studies into Year 13.
