Sixth Form students are allowed to bring their own mobile phone to the college. You may use your phone in the Dining Hall during study lessons and the Sixth Form centre. Phones are not allowed to be used around the school site and must be turned off (not silent mode) when in lessons. Mobile phones must not be used to take photos, record videos or sound whilst on the school site.
Sixth Form students are allowed to bring and use MP3 players when studying, but not around the school site or whilst in lessons. The school cannot take any responsibility for damage or theft of any possessions, electrical or otherwise brought in by students. You choose to do this at your own risk.
If necessary, Sixth Form students are welcome to bring their own laptops to school for study purposes, and during lessons if the teacher allows. The school cannot take any responsibility for damage or theft of any possessions, electrical or otherwise brought in by students. Again these devices must not be used to take photos, record videos or sound whilst on the school site.
Due to the shortage of parking spaces and for health and safety reasons, students are encouraged not to drive their own vehicles to school. If a student chooses to drive to school they should park safely and legally but not in the visitors car park at the front of the school.
Students choose to come to the College to learn and teachers come to teach. As Sixth Form students you are expected to follow this basic principle at all times, both in the classroom and around the school. Non-teaching members of staff are to be treated with the same amount of respect as teachers.
Drugs, alcohol and tobacco
Illegal drugs, alcohol and tobacco can be dangerous and students should note that there will be no tolerance of possession, sale, purchase or consumption in the College. If you choose to smoke tobacco you should not do this in or around the school gates or in a way that may cause discomfort to the local residents e.g. directly outside of their windows.
